Stephen McMurrough – Managing Director
A building engineer Stephen has spent the past 30 years in the construction and property development sector. He has extensive experience in the UK, Ireland and Asia on multi-unit construction schemes both commercial and residential. Whilst in the employment of Mivan Construction Ltd Stephen worked as site engineer in the delivery of high density housing in Malaysia and on the fit-out of hotel and office projects in Ireland and the UK. Later as a self-employed engineer and developer he delivered his own projects in housing and commercial property throughout Ireland and UK.
Ivan Doherty – Commercial Director
Ivan’s background is in Financial Services having worked for a range of financial institutions in his early career – Irish Life, Abbey Life, AIB Bank, Hypo Bank, GE Capital.
Ivan was instrumental in setting up Start Mortgages, one of the first new residential lenders to enter the Irish market. He managed the authorisation process with the Central Bank and served as CEO of the organisation. Start Mortgages lent almost €2bn in mortgages.
When the Central Bank of Ireland engaged Blackrock Solutions to complete an in depth review of the Irish Banks, Ivan lead a team which reviewed the loan books of each of the four banks concerned. This review resulted in the €24bn recapitalisation of the banks.
For a period after the recession, Ivan focused on providing debt and equity solutions to borrowers looking to settle their loans with NAMA, and with the Irish, and UK Banks.
Paul McMurrough – Programme Director
As a Management Consultant Paul has 20+ years’ experience in the consulting industry across a broad range of disciplines. Previously Senior Management Consultant with Oracle Corporation responsible for projects such as Identity Management, Business Intelligence and Business and Finance transformation projects across multiple industries.
Paul has provided project and programme management expertise, training and consultancy to companies across Ireland, the UK and Europe and has extensive experience in managing large scale, high value projects for clients such as Dublin Airport Authority, RBS, Aviva and Brussels Airlines.
